We will be shooting at Santa’s Christmas Tree Farm at 30105 Main Rd, Cutchogue, NY 11935.
The farm is large & has A LOT of fun activities available for the whole family including:
SHOOTING LOCATION
The morning of your shoot, you will receive a text message/ email with a map of the farm showing the exact spot where we will be shooting! There is a 5 minute break in between all sessions. If you reach out to me during a shoot, I will get back to you during those breaks. Shoots will take place from 1:00- 4:00. My cell phone number is 718-864-1180.
Timing:
It is HIGHLY recommended that you arrive early, giving yourself ample time to navigate traffic, parking, and arriving at the shooting location on the farm. The tree farm is rather large & it may take a few minutes to walk from the parking lot to the shooting location. There is lots to do at the farm if you arrive early including ice skating, roasting marshmallows for smores( kits are available for purchase on the farm) , shopping at the gift shop, & pony rides.
If arriving to the shooting location before that time, please be respectful to the other families. Having an audience (of strangers) may distract young children or make people uncomfortable, so please keep a little bit of distance between you & the family that is shooting while you wait your turn.
All mini sessions are booked back to back. There are only a few minutes built in between every session. For this reason, it is critical that you are on time. I will not be able to extend your session past the end time indicated on your contract if you are late arriving.
The beautiful winter scene of trees will be our background. However, if you wish, I will bring along props that can be used to make it more “Christmasy”. This will include blankets to sit on ( white & festive plaid) as well as classic style ornaments should you wish to decorate a tree at the farm with your little ones. ( Red, silver, white ball ornaments, silver bells, white snowflakes) All ornaments are plastic & kid safe!
For young children, please plan to get in their nap and a filling lunch before your session (if applicable) Feel free to bring anything else that may make your child feel comfortable. Small snacks (Cheerios, Puffs, etc.) work great even in between shots and aren’t messy! A favorite small toy, or music may help put them at ease. You know your child best.
I will also be bringing along a small treasure chest filled with candy, stuffed animals, crayons, & painting kits! Feel free to use the treasure chest to motivate your child. If necessary, we can keep the chest visible & they can choose treats from the treasure chest at the end of their session. If for any reason, you do not want your child to be given the option, please let me know and I will tuck it away during your session.
For final payments, please bring a check to “Jennifer Lam Photography” or the exact amount in cash in an envelope with your name on it. This ensures that money handling does not cut into your shoot time.

Parking will be available on site and parking attendants will be guiding cars onto the property. If you have ANY trouble finding me please reach me on my cell at 718-864-1180.
Outdoor restroom facilities are available near the gift shop. ( not ideal-but available) There may be an indoor bathroom available inside the gift shop.
Should the forecast call for rain, ALL MINI SESSIONS will be rescheduled for the rain date. You will keep the SAME TIME SLOT on the “rain date” as your original slot. I recommend dressing children appropriately & bringing along sweaters, jackets, blankets, etc. These can be incorporated into the shoot, or used in between shots if it gets cold.
