Chris always knew that Jeannie was the one. He purchased a stunning ring and planned on proposing to Jeannie on the beach. The beach was typically quiet and he thought it would be the perfect private spot to ask her to marry him. He picked Jeannie up and anxiously drove to the beach. New Jersey had just missed a nearby hurricane, and the evidence from the storm had brought reporters and visitors to the beach that day. Chris recalled that there were people everywhere. He kept driving further and further down the beach hoping she wouldn’t become suspicious, and finally pulled over. He just couldn’t wait any longer to ask her. They walked onto the beach as the sun finished setting and the sky started to become dark. Luckily, the ring box came with a small light inside. When Chris got down on one knee and opened the ring box is literally glowed! Jeannie said YES! and they began planning their May wedding.
Jeannie & Chris were married at. The Molly Pitcher Inn in Red Bank, New Jersey. The day had many personal touches including a special reserved seat at the ceremony, and bouquet charm for Jeannie’s late mother. My favorite detail from the day was the heart shaped patch sewn to Jeannie’s dress. Jeannie’s mother’s handwritten note was printed to fabric and sewn into Jeannie’s dress as her something blue. Jeannie and her dad shared a first look and it was so sweet to see their reactions – even I cried!
In much the same way that weather had changed their plans for the proposal, strong winds and rain had moved their outdoor ceremony indoors. This certainly did not dampen their spirits. Both Jeannie & Chris were equal parts relaxed and excited to be marrying the love of their life! Their closest family and friends gathered at the ceremony to watch Jeannie & Chris promise to love each other forever.
After the ceremony, guests celebrated with the happy couple at their high energy reception. Gorgeous florals, romantic lighting, and great music flooded the space. Chris dominated the dance floor along with the flower girls and the ring bearer and everyone had a great time.
